Jasper Leyland - Fieldstone (Benbecula, 2007)

Sur le regretté label anglais Benbecula, Jasper Leyland, de son vrai nom Jonathan Brewster, nous offre une balade post-rock rafraîchissante. Car oui, on sort de l'electronica qui a fait la réputation du label pour aller vers l'ambient-folk. Jasper Leyland brode des mélodies autour de sa guitare, avec des arrangements délicats avec des pointes d'électronique. Le résultat a l'air simple et immédiat, l'écoute attentive révèle un travail subtil et plus riche qu'il n'y parait.
